EU Minister Bozkır visits Armenian Church

European Union Minister and Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkır visited an Armenian Church in İstanbul.

Bozkır said that a thousand year long relationship between Turks and Armenians should not be imprisoned to the word “genocide.”

Bozkır visited Surp Kevork Armenian Church in Kocamustafapaşa district in İstanbul.

Bozkır made statements related to the anniversary of the 1915 incidents following his visit. Bozkır said that he objects to this historical incident being turned to a political element.

“We invite third parties to fade from the scene.”

“I convey our best wishes to all our Armenian brothers residing in Turkey on behalf of my government and state. We are extremely pleased to be together and advance together towards the future.”
